Category: Network Marketing

Network Marketing is,  actually, a very simple business. In fact, if we break it up into its two distinct disciplines, it becomes even more simple. Simple in concept, maybe not as simple in implementation.

First, let’s look at the first element of Network Marketing – Networking, or relationship building. This is the first place most people start when they embark upon the path to, what they hope to be, financial independence. For most, a lot of this work has already been done and they find themselves ready to start into the second element. But we are getting ahead of ourselves.

To be successful, a person has to either work within their existing relationships, such as friends and family, or work their cold market – strangers. Friends and family will most likely listen to any pitch and either join or tell you how crazy they think you are. After you have burned through your friends and family, you then move into the second element – marketing.

Friends and family can easily be the easiest or the most difficult of sells, depending on your relationship with them and your feelings about hounding them with opportunity after opportunity, or product after product. Eventually, that dog stops hunting and you have to go in search of other markets who may not be as receptive to your message.

Chasing people at the mall, hanging fliers on windshields and door knobs, talking to every store clerk, waitress, barber or hair dresser, and the list goes on, IS NOT MARKETING. Or at least, it is not effective marketing. There are better ways.

Once the family and friends inventory has dwindled and you have burned out of being a nuisance to strangers, you will have to learn how to market effectively. The first thing to learn is to go where the most people are – the Internet. The second thing to learn is WHO you should be marketing to. Trying to convince someone they want to be a network marketer is a hard sell, especially if they don’t like direct sells.

It just makes sense to market to those who already want to be in network marketing. And that demographic will include those already involved in the MLM Industry. So, then, what we have established is we should be directing our marketing to those who are, or want to be involved in Network Marketing and we should be doing this on the Internet.

But that is just the beginning. Once the decision is made to market on the Internet, a system has to be in place to, not only generate traffic, but to handle that traffic when it is generated. A capture page is the first place to start. This page has to be effective in capturing the prospects information so that a list can be developed that will enable you to continue to work with the leads you have generated. Not everyone will join up the first contact, in fact that is rare.

After an effective capture page is developed and a list process is employed, you will then have to have an auto-responder set up to enable you to continue to market to your leads. Without it, you will be bogged down with a day to day work load that will keep you from developing the leads in the first place.

Your next step is to develop an effective sales page that will showcase your wares, so to speak, in a manner that will be enticing for your prospects. Without this, you will not be able to convert your prospects into new recruits.

After all this, you need to be making money from your prospecting so that you can afford to stay in the game long enough for your MLM opportunity to develop the leverage to give you the residual income you are looking for.

As you must see by now, this takes a great deal of expertise and time. In fact, a separate article could be written about each element of this marketing program and still not cover it sufficiently. So, you ask, what can be done to streamline this process of learning. The answer is very simple – a system.

By finding a system that provides all the elements mentioned above, you can eliminate all the time and effort it would take, not to mention the trial and error, to develop just such an effective system. So, find that system, plug into it and you will start to see real success in your network marketing opportunity.

Network Marketing, online or offline? That seems to be the question most asked today by those in network marketing and by those looking at the industry. Unfortunately, there is no easy answer, at least one that is definitive.

As with most questions of this nature, there really isn’t a black and white answer, but one that has many shades of grey. The answer lies within the person asking the question.

If you enjoy talking to strangers and can easily strike up a conversation, and, if you are very comfortable convincing your friends and family into new ideas, then offline is certainly a good choice for you. On the other hand, if that doesn’t describe you and your particular skill set, then perhaps online network marketing is your bag.

If you like technology and it’s many uses, if you like using the Internet and computers and feel comfortable around those elements, then perhaps online network marketing is for you.

But, as I said, this question isn’t as easily answered as that. Even if you don’t feel comfortable talking with people, friends or strangers, you will have to learn to do so if you want to be successful at network marketing, online or offline.

Online marketing requires some inter-personal skills as well as the technical skills. Since another name for Network Marketing is Relationship Marketing, you really can’t get away from forming relationships to aid your chances at success.

Both online and offline Network Marketing have challenges that can hamper success if not managed properly. With offline one is faced with trying to convince those who are probably dead set against getting involved with Network Marketing to ‘come aboard’ and experience the thrill of rejection.

With online Network Marketing, the challenge is the technology and how to best harness it to find success. Lead generation, capture pages, auto-responders, list builders, PPC, Article and content marketing, etc., all combine to bewilder and confound the unsuspecting beginner.

The answer, then, is if you choose online or offline, you will have challenges you will have to overcome in order to find the success you desire. Perhaps the real answer is to combine the two, hedging your bet, so to speak, and find the best of two worlds.

If you choose that option, or strictly online, you should find a turn-key system that will simplify the process and ensure your success. Don’t try to go it alone! That will almost, single handily ensure failure. Plug into a system that will walk you through the process and give you the success and financial independence you are looking for.

Network Marketing, online or offline? My answer is both, but, do them both correctly.

Oh, you’re in network marketing…huh? Geez, is this another one of those pyramid schemes? People don’t really make money in network marketing so why even try? This is what so many people say when they find out someone they know is in network marketing. I would like to clarify what this industry is all about.

The idea of network marketing started in 1861 with the traveling salesman. The first “home party” company was founded in 1931 by Frank Stanley Beveridge and Catherine L. O’Brien when they opened Stanley Home Products. The earliest documented MLM compensation plan was in 1945 when Nutrilite contracted with Mytinger & Casselberry to become the only American distributor of Nutrilite products. Tim Sales at www.firstclassmlm.com has written an outstanding article on the “History of MLM (Network Marketing)” and I encourage you to check it out.

Network marketing is also identified as MLM or direct sales. The meaning is one in the same and you will note that pyramid is not included. Network marketing companies are built around a business and products. Distributors sign on to sell the products. The products are sold to customers and the representative will also recruit others who are interested in doing the same.

On the other hand a pyramid is missing one important aspect, the product. According to a statement issued by the FTC, “a pyramid scheme promises consumers or investors large profits based primarily on recruiting others to join their program, not based on profits from any real investment or real sale of goods to the public. Some schemes may purport to sell a product, but they often simply use the product to hide their pyramid structure”.

Network marketing companies most certainly have products to sell. The products are usually laser targeted to one particular niche. Quite often they are developed by professionals who spend years on research and development. When it comes time to promote the products, they choose network marketing. They could choose Walmart or some other retail company, but many choose network marketing.

One reason I believe the industry’s reputation suffers is because some newbies become “buggers”, but forgive them because they don’t know any better. These are the people who will try to sell to or recruit anyone with a heartbeat. I think you know who I mean. The friend or relative everyone ducks from when they see them coming. This industry is not meant to bug and annoy people. What we want to do is help people and change lives.

When someone is considering an MLM opportunity it is in their best interest to talk to a number of sponsors before making a decision. Many sponsors say “I want to interview you to see if you would be a good fit with my team”. It’s just as important for the prospect to interiew a sponsor to make sure they join a good leader and team.

If you want success in this business it’s critical to have an upline that supports you and, particularly if you’re a newbie, someone who will teach you good marketing skills. Make a decision to select a mentor. It doesn’t have to be within your company but it must be someone you trust.

In conclusion, network marketing is most definitely a respected industry where a person can make a very good living. It’s important to choose the right company, a product you believe in and a mentor to guide you along the way.

To Your Success,
CJ Stringer

You too can have amazing success in network marketing, even as a newbie. If you would life more information on how to grow a network marketing business, visit MLM Solutions.

Many people are searching for the best network marketing company. However, it is a subjective thing. If you are doing this type of a search, the answers you get are likely to be biased. The writers on this topic are most likely connected to a specific company. The information may be good for the writers but not so good for you.

What’s important to know it that what one person considers the best for them, may not be the best thing for you.

It is very important to have a clear idea of some things before deciding which companies are the best in the network marketing industry. First, you need to evaluate if you like the products or services being offered by a particular company. Examine the products or services to see if they bring excitement and inspiration to you. Are these products or services working for you and impacting your daily life?

If your answer is no, then this particular company is not the one you are looking for. Many people may just consider the compensation plan as their basis for choosing the best network marketing company, which can be a mistake. You need to have an understanding of and a  passion for the products or services being offered by the company. The compensation plan is useless if you are not getting any people into the business.

If you have no excitement for the products or services you offer, you cannot recruit people consistently to your business for the long term.  A cutting-edge productive system which you can duplicate to get positive results for yourself is something that the best network marketing company must offer.

The company must have an established system and program in place that can be easily understood and successfully used by yourself and others. You need to make sure also that your sponsor is readily available to you in case you have any questions.

Looking for a new or about to launch company to join is another common mistake that people who are looking for a company to join may make. There are misconceptions that newly established network marketing companies can provide larger potential for development and therefore more earnings. In fact, the newest companies have a greater likelihood of failure within the first three years.

Here are some factors to consider that will help you decide what the best network marketing company for you is. First, you need to examine the products or services. Do they bring excitement or create inspiration for you. Second, determine if the system of your upline or sponsor can also be copied by you in order to become successful as well. It is important to trace the business history of the network marketing company. If it is new, then you should take precautions but if it is been around for a long period of time, then you have less to worry about, particularly during economic crisis. The best network marketing company will continue to grow vigorously during financial economic downturns.

Network Marketing, Is It For You?

Network Marketing, is it for you? This is a question that most everyone will have to answer at some time of their life. I would venture to say that there isn’t anyone in the United States that hasn’t, at one time of their life, been approached with a Network Marketing opportunity.

So, I thought I’d help anyone looking at this industry by taking a, relatively, unbiased look. I would hope that this article will be of some help to anyone who is trying to decide if this industry is right for them.

Let’s look at the plus side first, then we’ll take a look at the negative aspect of MLM. The best plus, in my opinion, is the freedom involved with Network Marketing. Freedom to choose when you work, how hard you work, the way you work, and if you will work. Of course, this kind of freedom can be a double edged sword and can be a negative as well as a positive.

In this industry, if you work hard and smart, you can earn a lot of money. If you are lazy and don’t learn how to build a business, you will struggle and fail. But, with that freedom, you can finally get paid what you are worth and have the satisfaction of knowing you built your business with your own two hands, so to speak.

Another plus side is the relationships formed by working closely together with, first your upline sponsors, then, later with your downline as you teach and train them to become successful. The real rewards in Network Marketing is not the money, it is the success you help foster in those you have sponsored into your business.

This is about the only industry I know of where you work hard to ensure the success of others and in that way ensure your own success. This business is all about helping each other to be more successful – much different than most other industries.

Another plus is the self-education you can and should receive as you learn about you and how you are supposed to interact with others. These interpersonal skills are another one of the great rewards of working in Network Marketing.

There are many other pluses such as financial independence, personal growth, and business knowledge, but we don’t have the time or space to cover them. Let’s look at the negative.

The negatives come from the general stigma attached to Network Marketing by the uneducated. Many people still see this industry as pyramid schemes where people are paid to recruit and no product is sold. These are illegal and virtually nonexistent. If one were to analyze any corporate structure, they would find it to be a pyramid in that the CEO, makes more than the people at the bottom. The mid managers don’t make as much as the CEO, but they make more than the janitor and so on.

The big difference is that in Network Marketing, the people at the top are trying their best to get the people at the bottom to get to the top. This does not happen in the typical corporation.

The big negative is that 97% of people who get involved with this industry struggle and fail. The major reason for that failure is poor training and a lack of marketing knowledge and having all the correct strategies. With the advent of the Internet, network marketing has found new avenues to build businesses. The modern network marketer must learn the new strategies if they are to succeed in this industry.

Anyone can overcome this negative by finding a system that will give them the training and allow them to plug into an established system that will walk them through the process of education and application.

All in all, Network Marketing can be the most rewarding business around, if the person involved has all the knowledge they will need to become successful. I suppose this is no different than any other business. Skills must be learned and employed to ensure success.

What is the difference between a successful business and a failure?

Throughout the history of making money we can see many businesses that have had great success and many businesses that have failed miserably. The difference between the successes and failures depends upon a number of factors, but in many cases we can see certain successful businesses that have created a “formula” that works again and again, allowing for expansion across entire countries and even the world.

Think about McDonald’s – this American business that started out decades ago selling hamburgers, fries and milkshakes has grown into one of the strongest businesses in the world. What is the McDonald’s Secret To Success? You got it – a system!

Each and every McDonald’s restaurant is a franchise – which means the owner has paid McDonald’s corporation for the rights to run that restaurant. They are given giant golden arches to hang above the door and a system – the same system that every McDonald’s restaurant must follow. The system is completely plug and play, and includes everything from how often to sweep the floor to how many seconds the fries should be cooked and how many pieces of tomato are on every burger.

This is why a completely inexperienced teenager, with a squeaky voice and a case of acne, can get a job at McDonald’s and fill your order for a Big Mac, fries, a baked apple pie and a soft drink with the expertise of a CEO. They follow the preplanned and ever-so-thoroughly spelled out instructions provided to them by the McDonald’s system.

Systems are impressive. Systems turn simple procedures and combinations of actions into profitable ventures. If you are considering starting your own business then a solid working system should be at the top of your list.

It’s been said that 90% of businesses fail within the first 5 years. What about the other 10%? They must have their system in place and working like clockwork. Businesses fold because they were either not proven to work in the first place, or they were not following a good system.

Having a system to follow is one of the key reasons that people choose network marketing as their business model. Network marketing is an industry that is based on having systems and plans to follow and duplicate. This makes doing business much easier and makes success a lot easier to achieve.

Many people decide to start a home business for lots of different reasons. Some keep their “day jobs” until the business really takes off, and work at the home business during their spare time. Some people don’t have a regular job and decide to take on a network marketing business full time. It might even begin as a hobby.

Regardless, network marketing has become the business of choice for many people because of this: there are established systems to follow – systems that work well no matter who is pushing the necessary buttons.

There has never before in history been a better time to start a business than right now, and there are no business options better for a person starting out than Network Marketing.

Find a system, work the system, and enjoy the benefits. That’s what Network Marketing is all about.

To Your Success,
CJ Stringer

You can have dramatic success but it’s critical to have an effective marketing system in place. Most people will never see the success they hope for because they don’t have the right marketing system to generate enough quality leads for their business. To learn how you can generate an abundance of quality leads visit MLM Solutions.

Network Marketing Today is rather different then it was even back in the early 2000s. The basics of the business model is still the same, however the methods have changed. For more than three decades, network marketing has been built through massive time commitment, phone calls and meeting people belly to belly.

Network Marketing today works differently thanks to advances in technology. Depending on your position, this is either a good or bad thing. You might be that person that still prefers to do things the “old-fashioned” way. Make a list of every person that you know, call them up and ask them what they’re doing Thursday night. You might be a person who thrives on technology and knows precisely how to operate it to simplify things in your life.

So which is better? Well the absolute truth is that both ways work… just not for everybody.

The traditional methods of network marketing work very well for people who have a huge sphere of influence among a large group of people. These are the people who were capable to get thousands of people in their company in less than a year and make $250K within 12 months. Typically these people have also been in the game before which is where their influence is.

For the 99.9% that makes up everyone else, you have to go about things a little differently. With network marketing today, you can literally use the internet to build a list of quality people who are open to joining you in business. Your list can end up being in the tens of thousands long and continue to grow on autopilot.

Rather than walking through the mall approaching random strangers, you can leverage the internet to help you build your business. This is especially important to understand because when people are searching for answers today, what do they do? They go home, pull up google and search for what they are wanting to know. To illustrate my point, you are reading this article right now.

What is even better is that you can still build a relationship with the list you build through email campaigns and an occasional phone to say hello. You can set up auto-responders that welcome a new person to your list and send them as many followup emails over an extended period of time, all pre-programmed to be sent to them with deatils on what to do next.

With network marketing today, you can wind up getting emails like the ones I get daily saying “You just received a commission.” How cool is that? Just imagine what your life would be like, if you could spend less time and accomplished a lot more with today’s marketing strategies.

The advantages of network marketing today is obvious, it basically allows you to cast a much larger net across the whole world from the comfort of your home. You can be everywhere, all the time, generate your own targeted leads, and even profit when someone says no to your opportunity.
